In January, we shared that Cray had been selected for the Spring 2026 cohort of the Spartan Incubator at the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Tampa. This month, we closed that chapter the best way possible — at the cohort's certificate presentation, celebrating alongside the founders, mentors, and faculty who made the semester what it was.
The Spartan Incubator isn't a logo-swap program. It's a semester of expert-led workshops, weekly cohort sessions, and one-on-one mentorship from faculty, entrepreneurs-in-residence, and leaders across the Tampa Bay business community. Every week, the way we build Cray was questioned, pressure-tested, and sharpened by people who do this for a living — inside one of the top-ranked university entrepreneurship centers in the country.
For a company whose entire mission lives on campuses, there's no better environment to grow in. We spent the semester surrounded by the exact world we serve: students, faculty, and the university systems that shape student life.
When a school evaluates a safety partner, the real question is always the same: who is this company, and who's holding them accountable? Completing the Spartan Incubator is part of our answer. Cray was selected by a university, mentored inside a university, and finished the program with a certificate presented by a university.
We didn't just build for higher education this spring — we were built by it.
The timing couldn't be better. We're heading into a big summer for Cray — including our sponsorship at the ATIXA Summer Symposium and some exciting news about the next version of the app. The lessons from this semester are baked into all of it.
To the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center team, our mentors, and our fellow Spring 2026 cohort founders: thank you. Full circle never felt so good.
