Cray is a sponsor of the 2026 ATIXA and NABITA Joint Annual Conference, running October 12 to 17 in Baltimore, Maryland. The event pairs ATIXA's 15th Annual Conference with NABITA's 18th, bringing together Title IX coordinators, behavioral intervention and threat assessment teams, and civil rights compliance staff from campuses across the country.
We're sponsoring because this is the room where campus safety actually gets built. The people in it write the policy, run the trainings, sit on the CARE and BIT teams, and answer for what happened when something goes wrong.
Title IX and behavioral intervention work is carrying more weight this fall than it has in years. The October 1 annual security report deadline just passed under the Clery Act as amended by the Stop Campus Hazing Act, the first federal anti-hazing law, which added hazing statistics and a public transparency report to what every institution already owed. Offices finished that document, looked at their own numbers, and are now being asked what their prevention stack actually looks like.
Meanwhile, the risk students face has moved upstream of campus. A large share of the harm that lands on a Title IX desk starts with someone a student met online and then agreed to meet in person: a stranger from a dating app, a direct message, a party invite from an account with no history. Verification tells a student that a face is real. It does not tell them whether the person behind it has a pattern.
That gap is what Cray was built for. CrayScore, SchemerScore, VibeCheck, Catfish Check, and Offender Check are all aimed at the same five minutes: the moment a student decides whether to go. We think that's a prevention intervention, and we think it belongs in the toolkit alongside bystander training and consent education, not instead of it.
Cray founder and CEO Justin Smith will be on site Thursday, October 15, the second day of the joint annual conference. If you're attending, come find him.
He's there to listen more than to pitch. The conversations he's hoping to have:
If you'd rather schedule something than catch him between sessions, reach out ahead of time and we'll lock in a time and place in Baltimore.
Cray is sponsoring the conference door prize raffle. One attendee goes home with:
Enter at the Cray table during the conference. The Campus Launch Kit half of the prize transfers to the winner's campus, so a win is worth something to your office whether or not you were the one who wanted the headphones.
Worth saying plainly: the kit is free anyway. The Campus Launch Kit is available to any college through our Campus Ally tier at no charge, raffle or not. We put it in the prize because it's the thing we most want in the hands of the people in that room, and a raffle is a decent excuse to start the conversation.
We made the Campus Launch Kit free for colleges nationwide in August through our Campus Ally tier. It's a package of programming, not software you have to deploy:
The kit is valued at over $2,500 and costs nothing. The reason is the one Justin gave when we announced it: "Colleges don't have a passion problem, they have a bandwidth problem. The people responsible for prevention are already wearing multiple hats."
That's the whole thesis. Most campuses we talk to don't need to be convinced that online-origin risk matters. They need thirty-six weeks of content they didn't have to write, and a tool students will actually open.
If you're going to Baltimore, find Justin on Thursday and enter the raffle. If you're not going but the Campus Launch Kit sounds useful, you don't need to wait for the conference or win anything. It's free through the Campus Ally tier, and we'll walk your office through it whenever you're ready.
And if you work with a Panhellenic council or an individual chapter, ask us about sorority training and certification. That program runs alongside the campus partnership rather than competing with it, and the chapters tend to move faster than the institution does.
Cray is a digital student safety platform that helps people objectively evaluate the quality and authenticity of the people they meet. The Cray app launched in October 2025 and is available worldwide on iOS, Android, and the web. Alongside the consumer app, Cray partners with campuses through the Campus Ally tier and certifies hospitality venues through Cray Protected.
Vibes lie. Patterns don't.
